Male Arrested After an Assault with a Weapon
On July 21, 2024, at about 8:00 am, police received information of a dispute between two males that resulted in the victim being struck by a vehicle, in the area of Front Ave. at Park St.
Investigation revealed that the two males were in a verbal dispute in that area. The dispute escalated to the point that a 47-year-old, male entered his vehicle and drove towards the other involved male who was sitting on a curb. The 47-year-old, male struck the victim, knocking him backwards on the ground, and fled the area. The victim received non-life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after, the 47-year-old, male was located and arrested. He was charged with assault with a weapon and failure to stop after an accident. He was released with conditions and a future court date.
Male Arrested for Uttering Threats:
On July 22, 2024, at about 12:30 am, police received information that a male had smashed out the windows of a pickup truck in the area of Kensington Pkwy.
Investigation revealed that a 34-year-old, male subject threatened the victim saying he was going to shoot him. The subject was upset over conversations between the victim and another female.
The male subject showed up at the victim’s residence with a baseball bat and was observed smashing out the windows of a pickup truck, belonging to the victim’s brother. He then left the area.
On the evening of July 22, 2024, the male subject was located by police and arrested. He was held in custody for a bail hearing for the offences of uttering threats and mischief under $5,000.00.
