Westport Lumberjacks New Expansion Team in EOSHL

Westport – The village of Westport has a new hockey team. The expansion Westport Lumberjacks will hit the ice this upcoming 2024-25 season in the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League.

The team has just launched their GoFundMe campaign to help cover the start-up costs for the 2024-2025 season.

“As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on the support of our community to help us provide a top-notch hockey experience for our players and fans.” said the hockey team

The funds raised through this campaign will go towards covering essential expenses such as:

• Ice rental fees for home games and practices.
• Equipment and uniform costs for our players.
• Referee and scorekeeper fees.
• Marketing and promotional materials.
• Travel expenses for away games.

Their goal is to raise $5000 to ensure a successful start to the 2024-2025 season. Every donation, big or small, brings them closer to achieving their goal and providing an unforgettable hockey experience for their fans.

Donors who contribute $25 or more will receive a personalized thank-you message from the team. Donors who contribute $50 or more will receive a special “Lumberjacks Fan” t-shirt. Donors who contribute $100 or more will receive a team merch package of a t-shirt, hat, and tickets to any 4 home games.
