Brockville – Starting Wednesday, July 31st, all members of the public entering City Hall will be directed to Customer Service upon arrival. The Customer Service office is on your left after you enter through the building’s front doors. This is the office where you currently go to pay your water bill or taxes, and this office will remain in the same location.
Due to a growing number of safety concerns over the past year, City Management and the Health and Safety Committee have decided to restrict access to the facility as a precaution to protect employees.
To meet with staff inside City Hall, you must first check in at Customer Service as the second set of doors from the lobby to the main building will now remain locked at all times.
To meet with a staff member of a department inside City Hall, setting up an appointment in advance will help streamline your access. This will make it faster and easier for you to get in but walks in are still welcome.
Many City Services are available on the City’s website, including booking a campsite, starting a building permit application, and even paying your parking ticket. You may not need to come to City Hall in person.
City Hall is open Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and closed on weekends and statutory holidays. City Staff continue to be available by phone and email during business hours.
The washroom inside the building will no longer be available. A map of other nearby public washrooms will be posted.
We thank you for your understanding in this matter.
