Brockville – On July 31, 2024, at about 11:00 am, police received information about the occupants of a red Dodge Caravan, pumping gas at the Circle K on King St. W., who failed to pay for the fuel.
Investigation revealed that a male passenger exited the vehicle and pumped $20.00 worth of fuel, while the owner of the red Dodge Caravan, remained in the vehicle. They left the area and did not make any attempts to pay.
Shortly after, the van was located with the same passenger in the van. He was identified to be a 40-year-old, male. This event is of note, as the same incident had occurred on July 23, 2024, with the same vehicle and owner, but a different passenger committing the act of theft.
In that incident, the subject was a 22-year-old, male who pumped about $98.00 worth of fuel. Charges of theft under $5,000.00 were laid in both cases on the male subjects. They were released with conditions and future court dates.
