Spencerville – The annual South Grenville Bluegrass Festival is being held this weekend, August 8th to 11th at the Spencerville Fair Grounds.
This year’s festival will include live music from Carson Peters & Iron Mountain, The Plowboys, Simply Blu, Country Road 44, Maple Hill, Danny Paisley and Southern Grass, Concession 23, Grass Under Fire, The Fiddlaires, Country Gentleman, Tyler Comeau and Highway 10.
Everything gets underway on Thursday, August 8th with The Fiddlaires at 6:00 pm with music continuing until 10:00 pm.
On Friday there will be a breakfast available starting at 7:00 am. Live music begins at 1:00 pm with an Open Mic. Live music continues until 10:30 pm on Friday.
Saturday it begins with breakfast at 7:00 am with live music beginning at 10:00 am with County Road 44 and running until 4:15 pm then a dinner break. The music begins again at 6:00 pm with Simply Blu. There will be a presentation of the David Tinkoff/Mike O’Reilly Award at 7:30 pm, then the music will continue until 10:40 pm.
The last day on Sunday will see the music begin at 10:00 am with Simply Blu and wrap up at 1:15 pm with the final performance by Maple Hill.
Admission at the gate for Thursday Day Pass is $25, Friday is $35, Saturday is $50 and $25 after 6 pm. Sunday is $20 admission.
A full weekend pass is $120 per person and includes rough camping from Aug. 6th at noon until Aug. 12th at noon.
Children 16 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
