Brockville – Police reports from the Brockville Police Service from August 16th to 19th, 2024
Intimate Partner Violence
On August 16, 2024, at about 11:00 pm, police received a report of an intimate partner violence incident that took place, in the area of Abbott St. Investigation revealed that a male and female who were previously in a relationship were together at the above location.
An altercation ensued between the two. This resulted in the 36-year-old, female assaulting the male by striking him in the head, multiple times. He received non-life-threatening injuries. After the
the altercation, the male left the address and eventually reported to the police.
On August 19, 2024, shortly after midnight, the 36-year-old, female subject turned herself in to the Brockville Police Service. She was charged with assault and released with conditions and a future court date.
Male Arrested After a Break and Enter
On August 18, 2024, at about 7:30 pm, police received a 911 call regarding a male who had smashed a window to the 46 King St. W. building, with a 2×4 piece of lumber. Officers responded quickly and located the 34-year-old, male subject, who had just exited the building.
It is believed he wasn’t aware that the building was vacant. The male was placed under arrest and found to be on two separate probation orders. He was held in custody for a bail hearing for the offence of break and enter and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
