As Well a Stolen Motorcycle was Recovered!
Prescott – A North Dundas resident, wanted for an assault, is facing multiple charges and a stolen motorcycle has been recovered.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit located a wanted individual in Prescott on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, riding a motorcycle.
The male was arrested for the outstanding warrant and officers then determined that the motorcycle had been reported stolen from Ottawa in June 2024.
A 38-year-old man from North Dundas Township has been charged with:
- Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Theft over $5000 of a vehicle
As a result of an earlier incident, the individual is also charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Fail to comply with a release order
The accused was remanded in custody until a scheduled appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on August 30, 2024.
