Brockville – The Brockville Police Service’s (BPS) Youth in Policing Initiative Students (YIPI) raised $2,000 for Patrick O’Grady’s family after hosting a fundraising BBQ at Hardy Park on August 23rd.
“A special thank you goes out to our amazing summer students—Hannah, Hayden, and Theron. Their dedication and hard work throughout July and August were truly outstanding.” said the BPS in a Facebook post.
“Your generosity and their commitment made this event possible. Thank you to everyone who contributed! As well, a huge thank you to our sponsors, Brockville Hyundai, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds and Grenville, Brockville Home Hardware Building Centre and 1000 Islands Brewery” the post continued.
The fundraiser was held to honour Patrick O’Grady, who passed away earlier this year during March break. Patrick was a beloved local elementary school teacher who made a significant impact on our community. All proceeds are going directly to the O’Grady family.
