Brockville – The Brockville Braves lost a 3-1 decision to the Renfrew Wolves in their home opener at the Memorial Centre in Brockville Friday night.
Brockville survived a seven-minute penalty kill early in the second period after Liam Harry had given them a 1 – 0 lead with his shot from the blue line.
Grady Spicer continues to impress as he made a couple of “veteran” like rushes in addition to his defensive play.
Kellen Dostaler almost won the game, he split the defence and slipped a seeing-eye pass, but to no avail.
The Wolves’ empty net goal spoiled the valiant attempt at a comeback with that flurry of good shots in the final 120 seconds.
The Braves travel to Renfrew tonight for the last leg of their #Back2Back #HomeAndHome series. The puck drops at the MyFM Centre at 7:30 pm.
