Brockville – The Brockville Police Service has arrested three individuals with kidnapping, forcible confinement and firearms offences.
Police said in a media release issued today that they received a call on Sunday, September 29th around 5 am from a 26-year-old male victim who had fled from a hotel room in the City’s North end.
They went on to say the victim reported that he had been forcibly taken from Scarborough to Brockville, during which he was repeatedly struck with a firearm and threatened.
Officers said they located and arrested two male suspects in a nearby vehicle a short time later.
Police say that further investigation revealed that a third suspect, a female
had remained in the hotel room where the victim escaped. They made contact with the female suspect who surrendered to the officers.
Brockville Police then executed a search warrant which led to the recovery of a restricted Smith & Wesson handgun and a prohibited Glock 26 from the suspect’s vehicle.
The three individuals were charged with:
- Forcible confinement
- Assault with a weapon
- Robbery with a firearm
- Kidnapping
- Other weapons-related offences
Police say they continue to investigate.
