VIDEO: Braves Win 2-1 Over Navan in Overtime Friday Night

Brockville – The Brockville Braves won 2-1 in overtime against the Navan Grads on Friday night in CCHL action at the Memorial Centre.

The Braves have won 4 games in a row.

“The Kardiac Kids do it again! We had 52 minutes with no goals but it took only 35 seconds of overtime to give the hometown Braves their 4th straight win and 6 wins in 7 games,” said Whit Prophet Braves Commentator

“It took Kellen Dostaler with a “member’s bounce” goal, Trey Caracciolo with the play of the game and Jesse Lumsden with his 1st goal of the season to put another win on the Braves record.
It was a strong performance top to bottom that earned the Braves the win last night. A real team effort.”

Brockville got on the board in the first period on a goal by Kellen Dostaler at 4:01 in the period. Navan would respond with a goal at 8:13 to tie the game.

The game would remain tied at 1-1 after no scoring in both the second and third periods sending it to overtime.

Jesse Lumsden would score the winning goal at just 35 seconds in the overtime period. This would be Lumsden’s first goal of the season.

Brockville travels to Kemptville this afternoon to play the 73s. The puck drops at the North Grenville Municipal Centre at 2:00 pm.
