Tincap – The annual Foodbank Community Potato Harvest is being held this Saturday, October 19th at the Tincap Berry Farm.
Join Cross Town Impact and Tincap Berry Farm to help them make an impact one potato at a time.
The family event runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Tincap Berry Farm, 4035 County Rd 29, Tincap. The rain date will be October 26th.
A tailgate lunch provided by Loaves & Fishes featuring Chili & Soup.
For the last 13 years, the Tincap Berry Farm has been giving back to their community. They plant a field of potatoes to be specifically gleaned/harvested and given to the Local Food Charities.
Last year, they gave away 16,000lbs (7,000 Kgs) to:
- The Brockville and Area Food Bank
- Loaves and Fishes Brockville
- Prescott South Grenville Food Bank
- Prescott’s Kings Kitchen
This year, they want to ensure every potato gets dug up and bagged with your and your family and friends’ help.
So this Saturday, bring some gloves, your family, friends, clubs, churches and schools out to support your community by simply pulling potatoes from the ground.
For students looking for community hours, this is a great way to earn them.
