Brockville – The 8th annual Leeds and Grenville Youth Cross Country Championships, hosted by the Brockville Legion Track & Field Club, will be held this Sunday, October 27th, at Memorial Park in Brockville.
The championships are open to all kids in Grade 8 and under in Eastern Ontario. Schools are welcome to run, and athletes can be entered by either a parent or a teacher. Individual runners are also welcome.
There is no qualification required and every child is encouraged to race.

Schedule:
- 9:00 am – U10 Girls – 1km
- 9:15 am – U10 Boys – 1km
- 9:30 am – U12 Girls – 2km
- 10:00 am – U12 Boys – 2km
- 10:30 am – U14 Girls – 2km
- 11:00 am – U14 Boys – 2km
As well the Rowan Dean Memorial 5K will be held at noon. Race, run, jog or walk as they honour their teammate and friend.
Proceeds from this race are being used to establish a fund in Rowan’s name to provide financial support to those who share his passion for and dream of running.
