Seaway Veterinary Clinic & Thrifty’s Named Elizabethtown-Kitley 2024 Business of the Year on Friday

Elizabethtown-Kitley – The 2024 Elizabethtown-Kitley (E-K) Business of the Year was awarded to Seaway Veterinary Clinic and Thrifty’s at the awards breakfast on Friday, October 25th at the Brockville Country Club.

Danae O’Neill of Seaway Veterinary Clinic and Lacey Lalonde, Bethany Gamble and Grace Neal of Thrifty’s accepted the award from E-K Mayor Brant Burrow and MPP Steve Clark.

The Elizabethtown-Kitley Business of the Year award honours businesses that have demonstrated excellence in their field, longevity, innovation and involvement in their community.

The four businesses that were nominated this year were:

• Blackscape Supply
• Chit-Chat Convenience
• Seaway Veterinary Clinic
• Thrifty’s

In acknowledgement of the accomplishments of the nominees, the Committee presented each in attendance with a certificate recognizing their excellence.

The event featured guest speaker Steve Duff, Chief Economist Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agri-business.

The Business of the Year award was created in 1994 to recognize the contribution of local businesses. This event marked the 29th Business of the Year event and the first breakfast hosted by the Township Economic Development Committee.
