Kemptville – The Brockville Braves played the 73s in Kemptville on Wednesday night, losing 4-3 after a shootout in CCHL action.

“Two goals in the 3rd were not enough as Braves lose to K73s in a shootout. Ryan Gerlich stood out as he was peppered with 50 shots by the 73s. Peter Legostaev scored the only Brockville goal in the shootout.” said Whit Prophet, Braves Commentator.

There was no scoring in the first period.

Matthe Verspeeten with help from Peter Legostaev and Liam Harry scored Brockville’s first goal in the second period.

Two more goals were picked up by Jackson Arango (Dostaler, Albright) on the powerplay and Ben Albright (Dostaler, Harry) for the Braves in the third period.

Brockville will host the Cornwall Colts tonight at the Memorial Centre. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.

Kemptville will host the Rockland Nationals tonight at the North Grenville Municipal Centre starting at 7:30 pm.
