Prescott – The Kinsmen Club of Prescott launched its 35th Annual Spirit of Giving Campaign last Saturday at O’Reilly’s Your Independent Grocer in Prescott.
The annual campaign provides households in need in the South Grenville area with Christmas dinner and toys for kids, using items donated by the community.
“If you live in South Grenville (Prescott, Maitland, Maynard, Spencerville, Cardinal, North Augusta, Algonquin or any community within) and need help this year at Christmas, the 35th Annual Kinsmen Club of Prescott’s Spirit of Giving Campaign is here to help you.” said organizers.
Register for a food and gift basket as part of the Spirit of Giving campaign. There will be three locations where you can register.
You can register at the Leo Boivin Community Centre in Prescott on November 20, 21, 22, 25, & 26 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
At the Spencerville Food Bank, 16 Centre St. in Spencerville on November 14 & 21 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and at the Cardinal Food Bank at 618 County Rd 2 in Cardinal on November 13 & 20 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
If you are in need of a helping hand this year, come sign up! Remember to bring proof of residency (driver’s licence, hydro bill etc), and you must live within South Grenville.
The hampers include everything needed for Christmas dinner, a box of non-perishable food and toys for the kids.
