Brockville – A 28-year-old Brockville man is facing assault charges after police were called to an Ann Street residence in the city on November 5th.
Police say around 1:00 pm, police received a call regarding an assault that had taken place at the residence. An investigation revealed that a woman confronted her 28- year-old, son over an issue that took place in the residence causing damage to the previous day.
The confrontation escalated into an argument where the man caused more damage in the residence, grabbed his mother not letting her leave, attempted to take property and while she was calling 911, he threw a glass bottle at her. Luckily, the bottle missed and she was not seriously injured, said Police.
He then fled from the residence before police arrived.
Then on November 8th at about 9:00 am, police say the 28-year-old, male subject was arrested. He was held for a bail hearing for the offences of assault, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000.00 and forcible confinement.
