Gananoque – The Gananoque Islanders lost a 7-3 decision to the Tweed Oil Kings on Friday night at the Lou Jeffries in Gananoque.
The Islanders got on the board first from a goal by Warren Marcotte ( Wyatt Cota, Chris Latimer). Tweed would pick up two goals in the first to take a 2-1 lead.
In the second period, Matt Donovan (Warren Marcotte) scored one followed by the Oil Kings Keon Troccoli-Roik (Elijah Brahaney, Kyle Gaskin). Then Islander’s Jake Pullen (Busschaert, Chris Latimer) would tie the game up 3-3 on his goal.
In the third period, it was all Tweed racking up four goals in the period to take the win.
The Oil Kings outshot Gananoque 32 to 26 during the game.
The Islanders host the Deseronto Bulldogs this Friday night at the Lou Jeffries in Gananoque starting at 7:30 pm.
