Kemptville – The Kemptville 73s won a 4-3 decision over the Ottawa Junior Senators on Wednesday night in CCHL hockey action in Kemptville.
Ottawa got on the board first in the first period with a goal from Leo St. Michel (Pelchat, Guillemette).
Owen Redmond (Trottier) scored Kemptville’s first goal in the second period, followed by a goal by Aiden Stubbings (Bennett, McDougall) and a second goal by Redmond (Shaw, McDonald) to take a 3-1 lead at the end of the period.
In the third, Tomislav Brennan (St. Michel, Matsukubo) scored a goal for the Jr. Senators, followed by a goal from Santino Canevari (Bennett, McDougall) to give the 73s a 4-2 lead. Ottawa would score one more by Jack Matsukubo on the powerplay, but it wasn’t enough as Kemptville went on to win the game.
The 73s host the Navan Grads tonight at the North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
