Athens Aeros Beat Arnprior 7-1 Friday Night in EOJHL

Arnprior – The Athens Aeros downed the Arnprior Packers 7-1 on Friday night in Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League action in Arnprior.

There was no scoring in the first period.

In the second Rhett Palmer (Curson, McGlade) scored the Aero’s first goal on the power-play followed by a second goal by Palmer (Curson, Jansen). Nate Curson (McGlade, Palmer) would pick up one along with Brandon Taylor (Palmer, Dixon) on a power-play to give Athens a 4-0 lead at the end of the second.

Cam McNulty (Taylor) would score the Aero’s fifth goal in the third period along with a second goal of the game for Curson (Dulmage, Hunter) and the seventh goal for Athens from Tanner Hawkins (Dulmage).

The lone Arnprior goal was in the third by Devran Brown (Foley, Hiel).

The Aeros will host the Casselman Vikings on Sunday at Centre 76. The puck drops at 2:30 pm.
