Prescott – The South Grenville Junior Rangers lost one and won one of their two games in the NCJHL over the weekend.
In their Saturday game, they lost a 9-1 decision to the Vankleek Hill Cougars at the Alaine Chartrand Community Centre in Prescott. On Sunday they won 5-2 over the Almonte Inferno in Almonte.
The Junior Rangers will host the Morrisburg Lions on Saturday night at the Alaine Chartrand Community Centre. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
Saturday, December 7th: Vankleek Hill Cougars 9 – South Grenville Junior Rangers 1
Scoring the lone South Grenville goal was Ty Chevrier in the third period.
Sunday, December 8th: South Grenville Junior Rangers 5 – Almonte Inferno 2
Scoring for South Grenville were, Gabriel Couture (25 Mason Held), Gabriel Couture (43 Noah Penney) scoring two goals in the second period, Noah Penney (91 Matteo Dixon), scoring two, one in the second period and one in the third period and a goal from Matteo Dixon in the second period.
