Intimate Partner Violence Investigation:
On December 14, 2024, at about 10:30 pm, police received a 911 call to attend a residence in the area of Brennan St., regarding an altercation.
Officers attended and the investigation revealed that a male and female couple were involved in an argument. The argument escalated to the point that the 42-year-old, male subject, shoved the female causing her to fall and spit in her face.
The male was placed under arrest and charged with assault. He was released with conditions and a future court date.
Male Arrested for Break and Enter:
On December 12, 2024, at about 10:00 pm, police received information that an unknown subject had broken into a residence in a multi-unit building, on Victoria Ave. Sounds could be heard of a person inside the unit, making noise.
Officers attended and confirmed hearing the subject talking and causing the noise. Investigation revealed that a 39-year-old, male, who was on probation, had broken into a lockbox and acquired a key for the unit.
The subject entered and began collecting items from inside and concealing them in a carry bag. Police made entry into the unit and located the male subject inside. He was placed under arrest and searched and the property being stolen was recovered.
The male was charged with breaking and entering into a dwelling and failing to comply with his probation conditions. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
