Brockville – The Annual Polar Bear Dip and Dive hosted by Dive Brockville Adventure Centre is being held on New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Centeen Park in Brockville.
This year the event will raise funds for the Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre.
“I’m excited to say that this year, we are raising funds for Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre as they have helped many of us in the Brockville area with injured animals over the past few years!! Ducks, turtles, squirrels and birds to name a few!!” said Helen Cooper, Dive Brockville Adventure Centre.
Registration will start at 11:00 AM at the Dive Brockville Adventure Centre at 12 Water Street East, Brockville.
It costs $10 to register and pledge forms are available for those who are willing to get sponsors.
Jump time is at Noon at the dive steps in Centeen Park. Organizers ask jumpers to wear something on their feet into the water and bring a towel and warm blanket.
There will be chilli, hot chocolate, and cookies served afterwards at the dive shop!
All proceeds will go directly to Sandy Pines Wildlife Rescue Centre and the person to raise the most money will get to present the final cheque to them.
