Brockville – Environment Canada has issued a WIND WARNING for Brockville, Prescott, Mallorytown, and Gananoque.
Southwesterly winds will intensify through the day with gusts of 90 to 100 km/h this afternoon and evening. Winds will weaken through the overnight.
In addition, a strong cold front will move through the region tonight. This front may be associated with bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow giving significantly reduced visibility along with a sharp temperature drop.
Damage to buildings, such as roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches.
Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions due to high winds.
