GANANOQUE — Fiona Jager has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate for Leeds–Grenville–Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes in the upcoming provincial election.
Jager is a registered nurse and nursing professor with a focus on community outreach, mental health, and addiction. She is a strong advocate for government policies that recognize the close connection between social justice, sustainable practices and personal well-being.
“I’m proud to stand with the Ontario Greens as we advocate for better health care and equal opportunities for everyone in Ontario,” said Jager.
“We need a government willing to invest in the programs and support needed to tackle the root causes of the social problems facing our communities.”
“Fiona is deeply committed to promoting the wellbeing of people in Leeds–Grenville–Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes,” said Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner. “I know that she’ll be a strong voice for people in her community and a staunch advocate for improved healthcare access across the province.”
Jager lives in Gananoque with her husband and three children.
