Brockville – Just a reminder that the City of Brockville will begin the Rehabilitation Project for the William Street Overpass on Monday, February 10th, 2025 and is expected to continue until September 2025.
The city is notifying the public to inform them about the upcoming road closure that will affect a main artery in our community.
“While we understand that this may cause some inconvenience, this closure is essential for much-needed repairs and improvements.” said the city.
Stewart Boulevard South and the William Street/CN overpass will be closed starting on Monday, February 10, 202,5 with an estimated completion date of September 2025.
The city said that in 2024, a project was awarded for the rehabilitation of the William Street/CN overpass. The project will require an estimated 30-week closure of all lanes on the William Street overpass, including both northbound and southbound lanes, from Eleanor Street to Brock Street.
The closure will officially begin on February 10, 2025, and is expected to last until the project is completed in September 2025.
Expect delays and detours and please plan your routes accordingly. Access to businesses along the road will be maintained, but there may be some disruptions. Fire, Police and Ambulance services have been notified.
Crews will begin the process of preparing for the closure with a detour route, in green.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure. These upgrades are crucial for the long-term benefit of our community. Thank you for your cooperation.” said the city.
