Brockville – On January 31, 2025, at about 4:30 pm, police received a 911 call regarding a 35-year-old, female, alone, operating her vehicle in the area of 25 Central Avenue. The vehicle was stopped in the area and the witness had a concern with the way the driver appeared. The driver was described as “out of it.”
When the vehicle was approached, the driver then fled the area. Officers responded and located the suspect vehicle in the area of Stewart Boulevard and Central Avenue. The officer observed a quantity of methamphetamine in the vehicle beside the driver.
Based on the officer’s observations of the driver’s state, the driver was arrested for further testing. Testing was performed by a Drug Recognition Expert, which determined that the female driver was impaired by drugs.
Her driver’s licence was suspended, her vehicle impounded and she was charged with operation while impaired by drugs and possession of methamphetamine. She was released with a future court date.
