Prescott – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit has arrested two people for drug trafficking and seized illegal drugs in Prescott.
Police say the investigation began several months ago, resulting in the execution of a search warrant that took place on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at a residence on Prince Street in Prescott.
Street Crime Unit officers, assisted by the OPP Canine Unit, seized over 20 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, over 20 grams of suspected cocaine and nearly 20 suspected methamphetamine pills. They also seized a replica handgun, a conducted energy weapon, cash and items typically associated with drug trafficking. Two people were arrested at the scene.
Jonathan Englehart, age 38, and Tamara Milford, age 28, both Prescott residents, are charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance
- Possession of a prohibited device – two counts
- Failure to comply with an undertaking – two counts
OPP say that Englehart is additionally charged with two counts of failure to comply with a release order. He was held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville today (February 21, 2025).
Milford was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on March 21, 2025.
