Prescott – Community Futures Grenville is thrilled to announce the launch of the Futures Grant, a new funding opportunity designed to support legacy projects that will benefit our community and its residents by enhancing community vitality and sustainability for years to come. In celebration of 35 years of community impact, this initiative offers non-repayable funding to local businesses, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations to help bring meaningful projects to life.
The Futures Grant provides up to 100% of project costs, with recommended funding levels between $5,000 and $10,000. With a total program budget of $20,000, projects will be selected through a competitive process based on their long-term value, financial feasibility, and impact on sustainability,
inclusivity, and/or community prosperity.

The Futures Grant is an exciting way to celebrate our 35th anniversary by investing in projects that will leave a lasting impact in the years to come,” said Mitch Bloom, Chair of Community Futures Grenville. “We look forward to seeing innovative proposals that will strengthen our communities, preserve our natural environment, and enhance local engagement.”
Eligible Projects:
Projects must demonstrate long-term impact, and could include activities like:
- Strengthening arts and culture initiatives
- Restoration, protection, or enhancement of natural resources
- Development of community art, education, or heritage installations
- Increasing community engagement and vitality
- Supporting carbon reduction initiatives or sustainable infrastructure
Who Can Apply?
Eligible applicants include:
- Businesses located in Grenville County*
- Nonprofit organizations operating in Grenville County
- Business Improvement Areas within Grenville County
- Municipalities within Grenville County
Key Dates & Application Process
- Application Deadline: June 2, 2025, at 4:00 PM
- Approval Notifications: By June 20, 2025
- Project Completion Deadline: March 31, 2026
Applications will be assessed based on their potential to create a lasting legacy, financial feasibility, active partnerships, and alignment with the program’s objectives. Applicants are encouraged to seek additional funding to add to CF Grenville’s investment, though matching funds are not required.
