Recovered Stolen Vehicle
On March 13, 2025, at about 2:00 pm, police located a 46-year-old, female on George St., who was wanted by the OPP for taking a motor vehicle without consent. She was placed under arrest and the vehicle in question was recovered a short distance away.
The vehicle was towed and is to be turned back over to the rightful owner. The female subject was released with conditions after being charged with taking a motor vehicle without consent and failing to comply with probation. A future court date was issued.
Shoplifting
On March 13, 2025, at about 6:00 pm, police received information about a shoplifter at the Real Canadian Superstore, on Parkedale Ave.
Investigation revealed that the subject was a 48-year-old, male who had previously stolen from the Superstore. On this occasion, the subject selected approximately $60.00 worth of merchandise. He then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.
He was arrested and all of the merchandise was recovered. He was released with a court date for the offence of theft under $5,000.00.
