Vankleek Hill – The Westport Rideaus won 6-4 over the Vankleek Hill Cougars in game 4 of the NCJHL best-of-seven semi-final series Friday night in Vankleek Hill.
The series is now tied at 2-2.
Vankleek Hill got on the scoreboard first with two goals in the first period. Then Westport would pick up two goals in the first from 14 Lukas Hannah (26 Noah Cyr), and 16 Robert Onion (15 Jack White, 3 Nolan Campbell).
The Rideaus’ 5 Matthew Leaver (26 Noah Cyr) scored one in the second period, while in the third period, Westport scored three more goals from 18 Ben Peladeau (10 Liam Simpson, 4 Avery MacCuaig), 26 Noah Cyr (12 Eric Judson) and 16 Robert Onion (5 Matthew Leaver) his second goal of the game.
Game 5 is set for Sunday back in Westport starting at 3:00 pm.
