Brockville – Registration is now open for the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation’s 5th Annual Ride the River taking place on Sunday, June 8, 2025, along the stunning 1000 Islands Parkway.
Register as a family, a team or individually before April 10th to enjoy Early Bird prices.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward the “Bottoms Up! – Modernizing Colon Care Campaign” to enhance colorectal cancer care at Brockville General Hospital.
The Ride the River Planning Committee has set a bold fundraising goal of $300,000, and every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting colorectal cancer care at Brockville General Hospital.
Kicking off at Brown’s Bay as an individual, family or with your team, complete any of their Ride the River routes, or ride any of your favourite routes if you are riding before the event.
Ride the River 2025 offers 2 ride options:
OPTION 1: Riders supporting Ride the River have the flexibility to ride at their convenience and location of choice before June 8th.
OPTION 2: On June 8th, riders can join others along the scenic 1000 Islands Parkway, with four distinct routes available:
- 5 km: Beginning at Brown’s Bay, this route spans 2.5 km to mile marker 1180, then returns to Brown’s Bay via the same trail.
- 25 km: Starting at Brown’s Bay, riders journey 12.5 km to the Lighthouse Store in Mallorytown before retracing their path to Brown’s Bay.
- 50 km: This route leads riders 25 km to the picturesque Smuggler’s Glen Golf Course, followed by a return journey to Brown’s Bay along the same trail.
- 75 km: Embarking on a longer adventure, riders head west for 33 km to the west end of the trail. Upon reaching the trail’s end, riders reverse course, passing Brown’s Bay and covering 4.5 km to the east end of the trail before returning to Brown’s Bay.
Ride the River is a cycling event designed to raise funds for Brockville General Hospital which was created in memory of Dr. Smylie, honouring his legacy and long-standing contributions to healthcare at Brockville General Hospital.
Since 2021, Ride the River has raised over $3 million, funding critical hospital improvements. This success is made possible by their dedicated riders, generous donors, and community champions who believe in better healthcare for all.
