Brockville – A 53-year-old man is facing assault charges after city police responded to an intimate partner dispute on Saturday.
Police say around 9:30 pm on Saturday, March 22, they received information regarding the dispute that was reported to have taken place at a residence on Brighton Cres.
A police investigation revealed that a woman and her boyfriend were in an argument at the residence that became physical when shoving escalated to the suspect punching the woman’s arm, leaving visible swelling. Officers said that they were non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was arrested and charged with assault. He was later released on conditions with a future court date.
