Brockville – The City of Brockville’s Water Tower will be rehabilitated over the next six months.
At Tuesday’s council meeting Council approved the contract award for the work on the 70-year-old water tower to Landmark Municipal Services ULC.
City staff also provided a review of the $2.7 million project, which will be funded in part by the federal and provincial governments under the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Fund.
Staff said that the recoating is required to protect the integrity of the tower and is part of usual maintenance. Contingency measures will be in place to ensure adequate flow/pressure and reservoir levels exist during the time that the tower must be drained for the project.
