Winners will be announced at the Business Awards Breakfast to be held on Friday, April 11, at the Mallorytown Legion
Mallorytown – The Economic Development Committee of the Township of Front of Yonge is pleased to announce that nine local businesses have been nominated for Business Recognition Awards.
There are two categories: Business of the Year and New Business of the Year.
The Business of the Year Award recognizes businesses that have been in operation for at least 5 years and have been nominated based on the following criteria: customer service, longevity, and community involvement/enhancement.
This year’s nominees are:
• Leading Edge Overhead Doors
• Mallorytown Pharmacy
• Slate’s Marine Construction
• T. Avery Construction Sand and Gravel
• T.J. Guild Marina
The New Business of the Year Award recognizes businesses that have been in operation for less than 5 years and have been nominated based on the following criteria: community involvement, plans for sustainability, customer service and innovation.
The nominees are:
• Arbru Solar Brewery
• Blackwood Guitar Company
• Drawbridge Family Hair Design
• TomBoy Apparel
Mayor Roger Haley remarked: “The Business Awards event recognizes and celebrates the local businesses that serve our community. Congratulations to the nominees and thank you to everyone who took the time to submit a nomination.”
Winners will be announced at the Business Awards Breakfast to be held on Friday, April 1,1 at the Mallorytown Legion. Registration begins at 7:30. Everyone is welcome.
Heather Howard, owner of FoxRun by the River Retirement Residence, 1000 Islands Duty Free, and Johnstown Duty Free, will be the guest speaker.
