Brockville – The Brockville Fire Department is hosting an information open house on their 2nd annual Belles & Ladders Girls Firefighting Camp being held this summer on Monday, April 7th.
The free summer camp runs from July 2-4, and aims to inspire and empower girls aged 15-18 to consider a career in the fire services.
The camp is free of charge for participants, and over three days, the participants will have hands-on training in skills they’d face as firefighters.

The girls learn and experience practical, leadership and teamwork skills in a safe environment, experiencing fire rescue scenarios and exploring opportunities for future growth.
The open house is being held after school from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on April 7th at Station #2 on Laurier Blvd. and gives potential campers a chance to tour the station and ask questions before registration opens.
Registration is now open at: https://brockvillefire.ca/girls-firefighter-camp/
The application deadline is May 1, 2025, at 5:00 pm.
