Brockville Fire Department Hosting an Information Open House For Belles & Ladders April 7th

Brockville – The Brockville Fire Department is hosting an information open house on their 2nd annual Belles & Ladders Girls Firefighting Camp being held this summer on Monday, April 7th.

The free summer camp runs from July 2-4, and aims to inspire and empower girls aged 15-18 to consider a career in the fire services.

The camp is free of charge for participants, and over three days, the participants will have hands-on training in skills they’d face as firefighters.

The girls learn and experience practical, leadership and teamwork skills in a safe environment, experiencing fire rescue scenarios and exploring opportunities for future growth.

The open house is being held after school from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on April 7th at Station #2 on Laurier Blvd. and gives potential campers a chance to tour the station and ask questions before registration opens.
