Rideau St Lawrence Science Fair 2025 Taking Place Today in North Grenville

North Grenville – The 2025 Rideau St Lawrence Science Fair is taking place today, (Thursday, April 10) at the North Grenville Municipal Centre, 285 County Road 44, in Kemptville.

Judging took place at 9:00 am this morning, and the fair is open to the public from 11:00 am.

The Awards Ceremony will start at approximately 3:00 pm in the Theatre.

There are 70 STEM projects ready to be presented by the youth of Leeds, Grenville and Lanark Counties.

The Rideau-St. Lawrence Science Fair is open to students who are under the age of 21, in Leeds, Grenville or Lanark Counties and are in Grades 7 to OAC students.

The Fair began in 1962 and was organised by a group of scientists and engineers from DuPont Canada. Since then, they have welcomed many officials and participants from Lanark, Leeds and Grenville’s teaching, medical, scientific, and technical community. Without their dedicated work and support, the Fair would not happen.

Many of the participants have gone on to the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF), where, despite our small size, they have enjoyed great success. The CWSF participants have won Best of Fair, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, scholarships, monetary prizes, trips and special tours. These projects all required an idea with a good question, some research and hard work. Helpful mentors, teachers, fair organizers, fair judges and their sponsors made it possible.
