The officer approached the female on Buell St., where she began to resist arrest, and others nearby began recording the interaction to post on social media. The officer attempted to de-escalate the situation while assistance from other officers was en route. As the subject continued to resist, supporting officers arrived. The subject was arrested on the warrant and held for a bail hearing after additionally being charged with resisting arrest and failing to comply with probation.

Impaired Driving

On April 9, 2025, at about 8:00 pm, police arrested a 39-year-old female, who turned herself in at the Brockville Police Service, as she was wanted for operation while impaired by drugs. This was a result of a single motor vehicle collision investigation that took place on February 3, 2025, in the area of North Augusta Rd.

In that collision, the subject’s vehicle was involved in a rollover where she sustained injuries. At that time, there was evidence of drug impairment and blood samples were demanded and seized from the subject for further testing. The samples were sent to the Centre of Forensic Sciences and the results confirmed impairment. The female was released with a future court date for operation while impaired by drugs.
