Brockville/Kingston – Each day at the YMCA of Eastern Ontario, even the smallest act of generosity—a donation, a kind word, a moment of encouragement—can uplift a child, empower a teen, or strengthen a family. These acts create momentum that moves lives forward, shaping a stronger, more connected community. That’s the driving force behind the YMCA’s 2025 Annual Campaign, launched under the powerful theme Inspire the Future.
“As a charity, our mission is to create opportunities that empower people of all ages and backgrounds,” said Rob Adams, CEO of the YMCA of Eastern Ontario. “When you give to the Y, you’re not just donating—you’re investing in potential. It only takes one act of generosity to inspire the future.”
This year’s campaign aims to raise $435,000, ensuring that even more people have access to the safe, inclusive, and transformative programs the YMCA offers. These include everything from providing meals to children, offering safe spaces for teens, and teaching life-saving skills through aquatic leadership programs.
“When you give to the YMCA, you help build healthier communities, strengthen local families, and create inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive,” Adams said. “Your support doesn’t just make a difference today—it inspires lasting change for generations to come.”
Last year, donations made an extraordinary impact:
- 25% of Members received some form of financial assistance
