Brockville – The Brockville Braves announced on Friday the signing of Ryan Kavanagh as the Braves’ new Head Coach and General Manager on a multi-year contract.
A former professional defenseman with international experience, Kavanagh brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the organization.
Since retiring in 2016, he has built a strong reputation as a top-tier development coach and hockey director, serving as a development and systems consultant for teams and players at all levels.
His proven success in coaching, player development, and team management makes him an ideal fit to lead the Braves as we focus on developing the next generation of hockey players.
In addition to his coaching and management duties, Ryan will introduce high-performance, year-round training programs aimed at elevating player development within the organization.
“We’re excited to welcome him to the Braves as we take this important step in continuing to build one of the premier Junior A programs in Canada,” said the Braves’ organization.
In a parallel move, former Coach & GM Dustin Traylen will stay on as an Associate Coach
