YMCA of Eastern Ontario and Brockville Rowing Club Partner to Deliver Summer Camps

Brockville – The YMCA of Eastern Ontario and the Brockville Rowing Club are pleased to announce a new partnership that will bring expanded and enhanced summer camp programming to local youth.

With the YMCA’s long-standing expertise in operating high-quality day camps, the Brockville Rowing Club has chosen to collaborate with the Y to deliver four weeks of full-day camps for both new and experienced rowers this summer. This partnership will allow for a strong focus on safety, skill development, and fun, while continuing the Club’s tradition of fostering a love for the sport of rowing.

“We’re excited to partner with the Brockville Rowing Club to bring this incredible opportunity to local youth,” said Rob Adams, CEO of the YMCA of Eastern Ontario. “Together, we can inspire young people to discover their potential, build lasting connections, and develop a lifelong love for staying active and engaged in their community.”

Camp registration will be available online through the YMCA’s registration portal, accessible at eo.ymca.ca. Programs will cater to various skill levels, providing a welcoming and enriching environment for all participants.

Michael O’Shaughnessy, Chair of the Brockville Rowing Club’s Board of Directors, added: “We’re proud to be partnering with the YMCA to bring a new level of excellence to our summer programs. The Y’s reputation for running safe, engaging camps complements our goal of nurturing a strong community of rowers. An added benefit of this partnership is that campers and their families will have access to the YMCA’s financial assistance program, ensuring that no child misses out on the opportunity to experience summer camp due to inability to pay.

Families who have already registered for camp through the Brockville Rowing Club will be contacted directly to ensure a smooth transfer of their registration to the YMCA’s system.
