Brockville – Brockville Police charged two people with impaired driving on Saturday night in the city.
Impaired Driving Results in a Motor Vehicle Collision
On April 26, 2025, at about 7:30 pm, police received a report of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred in the area of Parkedale Ave. This was a vehicle that left the roadway and struck a hydro pole.
Investigation revealed that a 27-year-old male was operating the vehicle at the time. It was found that he had been consuming alcohol, and a breath sample was taken. The test registered a fail on the approved screening device, so the subject was arrested and taken to the Brockville Police Service for further testing. There, it was confirmed that the subject was impaired.
His driver’s licence was suspended, vehicle impounded, and he was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg. He was released with a future court date.
Impaired Driving
On April 26, 2025, at about 9:30 pm, officers on patrol observed a vehicle that appeared to be weaving in traffic. The vehicle was stopped in the area of King St. E. and Ford St. The driver of the vehicle was identified to be a 38-year-old female.
Officers performed a roadside screening test as it was believed that the driver had been consuming alcohol. The screening device registered a fail, and an arrest was made.
The driver was taken to the Brockville Police Service for additional testing that confirmed the driver was impaired. She was released with a future court date after her licence was suspended, vehicle impounded and charged with operation while
