Brockville – Downtown Brockville is hosting their first ‘Shop the Street’ event of the season, ‘Pirates Paradise’ on Saturday, May 24th.
They are kicking it off with a swashbuckling pirate-themed adventure, transforming Downtown Brockville into A Pirate’s Paradise for a day of shopping, entertainment, and family fun.
King Street will be closed to traffic from Perth to Bethune streets for the day, with the event running from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
There will be Street-Front Shopping with Downtown merchants that will be set up outside with exclusive sales and promotions, a Vendor Village featuring local artisans, makers, and specialty vendors offering unique treasures and Live Music and Entertainment with pirate-themed performances, games, activities, and workshops for the whole family.
There will also be a best-dressed pirate competition where you can show off your finest pirate garb. Swing by the BIA booth for a photo, the public will vote on Facebook, and the winner gets a $25 Downtown Brockville Gift Card.
A window decorating contest where local businesses are decking out their windows all month long. Scan the QR code on in-store flyers to cast your vote.
As well, there will be free swag bags (while supplies last) and eye patches at the BIA booth, and the Farmers Market will be in full swing from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Downtown Brockville will also be unveiling special banners celebrating the Arts, Market, Garden, and River districts.
There will also be free buses available for each Shop the Street this season, sponsored by the Downtown Brockville merchants.
