Brockville – 100 Women Who Care 1000 Islands celebrated 10 years of giving back to the community.

At their meeting on May 13th at the Wedgewood Retirement Residence in Downtown Brockville, over 60 current members of 100 Women Who Care 1000 Islands were in attendance, along with Brockville Mayor Matt Wren and member/City Councillor Jane Fullarton for the celebration.

Over the past ten years, they have raised over $400,000 in the community.

In addition, they heard from the John Howard Society of Kingston and District about their last donation, and their three nominees for this meeting, the UCDSB Champions for Kids Foundation, St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs program, and QueenCare – it’s a Mom thing.

At the meeting, the group decided to donate to Queen Care.

As well, earlier this month, MPP Steve Clark congratulated 100 Women Who Care 1000 Islands at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.
