Business Input Critical for Leeds Grenville Economic Development

Brockville – Once again, the region is collaborating to gather insights that will inform future planning and program development for businesses in the region. Input from business owners and leaders is essential to gaining a clear understanding of the regional economy, the impact of the US tariffs and the assistance required.

Businesses are strongly encouraged to complete the Leeds-Grenville- Thousand Islands Rideau Lakes survey.

Designed to quickly capture business feedback and offer respondents the opportunity to request specific types of assistance, the survey remains open until May 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville Economic Development Office will share the results in a report that analyzes the challenges, needs and impacts of businesses based on size: self-employed/solopreneurs, small businesses from 1-49 employees, and medium/large businesses with over 50 employees.

“Counties Economic Development will be shaping its future strategic focus areas utilizing the input and feedback from businesses throughout the region,” says Ann Weir, Economic Development Manager.

Since 2020, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville Economic Development Office has worked closely with municipal offices, chambers of commerce, employment services, community futures development corporations, small business enterprise centres, business improvement areas, and other local business support organizations. This network, known as the Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes Business

Support Working Group continues to collaborate with all levels of government to help businesses thrive in Leeds-Grenville.
