Bunnies Lost Pair of Games Saturday, But Won Sunday’s Games

Brockville – The Brockville Bunnies lost two and won two over the weekend.

After losing a pair of one-run games on Saturday vs the Diamonds JV, the Bunnies rebounded to win a pair of games on Sunday vs Montreal Titans 17u.

In game 1 on Saturday, the Diamonds JV beat the Bunnies 4-3 in 8 innings. Zadok Roiger took the loss but was outstanding by going a complete game, only giving up 3 earned runs. Ryan Robinson had 2 hits and 2 steals, with singles by Charlie Todd and Wyatt Last.

Saturday’s game 2 saw the Bunnies lose to the Diamonds JV 5-4. The Bunnies score 3 in the 7th inning to make it a one-run game, but Biller pops up to the catcher with bases loaded to end the game. Wyatt Brandwood starts, with Aaron Roy taking the loss in relief despite five quality innings. Hunter Sanger, Robinson and Todd (s,d) with 2 hits each. Biller doubled while 14-year-old catcher Lukus Doak singled.

In Sunday’s Game 1, the Bunnies won 4-2 over the Titans 17u. Charlie Todd gets the win, going 6 innings and giving up 2 earned runs with 9k’s. Biller with the quality save. Adam Bergman with a single and a big RBI double in the fifth that gives the Bunnies the lead for good. Singles by Ben Buxton, Robinson, Biller and Doak.

In game 2, the Bunnies beat the Titans 17u 3-1. Sanger had a great outing, getting the complete game win, giving up only 3 hits with 4 k’s. Robinson, Biller and Brandwood singled as the Bunnies took advantage of a misplay at first to score a pair of runs. The Bunnies’ overall record goes to 6 wins with 8 losses.

The Brockville Bunnies travel to Ottawa this Saturday to take on Watson 16u Elite, then they are back home to Fulford on Sunday for a doubleheader vs Reds Prime.
