Brockville – On June 13, 2025, at approximately 5:15 am, police responded to a 911 call regarding a disturbance at a residence on Perth Street. The caller reported that a 21-year-old female, currently on probation, had become intoxicated and caused a disturbance at The Bar. A friend, who resides on Perth Street, went to The Bar to escort the individual home for her safety.
However, due to the subject’s level of intoxication, the situation escalated.
Upon returning to the residence, the subject became increasingly agitated and appeared to be experiencing an emotional breakdown. The friend managed to remove her from the home, but the subject began kicking the door, ultimately damaging the frame and gaining entry back to the residence. Police were contacted, and the subject fled the scene.
Officers searched the area and located the subject lying in an overgrown, unkempt area nearby. She was arrested for public intoxication and breaking and entering. During the arrest, she resisted and later, while being removed from the police vehicle, kicked an officer in the face, causing minor injuries.
The individual was charged with the following offences:
- Break & enter
- Assaulting a peace officer
- Two counts of failing to comply with probation
- Being intoxicated in a public place
She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
