Brockville – The 17th annual 1000 Islands Regatta & Festival is being held this weekend, June 27th, 28th & 29th along the shores of the St. Lawrence River in Brockville.

The event will feature two days of Hydroplane racing, live music, as well as a Kids zone, vendors and food vendors in Downtown Brockville.

Everything gets underway on Friday at 5:00 pm when the gates open. Friday’s musical lineup is Twin Turbos, then the Road Apples, a Tragically Hip tribute band, taking the stage, finishing up with Honeymoon Suite.

Saturday night’s music lineup is Dirty Little Alibi, Eastbound of Bytown and Shania Twin.

On both Saturday & Sunday, the gates open at 9:00 am with the hydroplane races being held from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.

The classes racing this weekend will include Novice, JSS (Jersey Speed Skiff), 2.5L, F2500, H350, Pro Hydro and Grand Prix.

Kolin Henderson (Ah Sum Secret):

Heading into his third year behind the wheel, he is fired up for 2025 with a fresh engine program, big thanks to Joe Sovie!

After a strong showing last season, including a win in the Brockville consolation final, he’s focused on building confidence, consistency, and climbing the ranks.

Bennet Armstrong (Totally Chaotic):

At just 17 years old, Bennet is driving S11 Totally Chaotic in the 2.5L class as a rookie in the HRL series.

With two wins already under his belt and a 3rd place spot in the championship standings, he’s ready to take on the hometown waters and race in front of family and friends!

Bert Henderson (Last Minute Again):

Bert is jumping in H8 Last Minute Again to compete at the 1000 Islands Regatta 2025!

Bert is an 8-time National High Points Champion, world record holder, and the 2019 APBA Presidents Trophy winner (the first Canadian to claim the title since 1932)

After a serious injury in 2024, he’s making his return to Regatta waters right here at home. You won’t want to miss this fan-favourite tear up the river in front of a Brockville crowd!

Tyler Kaddatz (Ahh Sum Secret):

He knows what it takes to win, with a 2022 HRL Hydro 350 Championship and Brockville Regatta victory under his belt.

Driving the H-195 “Ahh Sum Secret,” Tyler combines his technical skills as a mechanical engineer with a career in construction management to power his success on the water.

Watch for Tyler to bring the heat again this season!

Kent Henderson (H519-Team Toban):

Kent brings championship energy back to Brockville!

Kent came away from the races in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, held on June 14–15 with a win in the Hydro 350 Class with 25 pts.

A 2011 US Summer National Champion, 2x HRL F2500 High Points Champion, 2015 UIM World Speed Record holder, and H350 Valleyfield Champion in 2016 & 2017- he’s back where it all began and ready to race!
