Brockville – The President of the Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce, Teanne Larocque, is proud to announce the recipient of this year’s President’s Award, Lesley Patry. First introduced in 2009, the President’s Award is an optional recognition handed out at the discretion of the Chamber’s current President. Lesley will be the tenth recipient of this award.
Lesley is the co-chair of the Brockville Butterfly Run, an initiative that supports families experiencing infertility, pregnancy loss, or infant loss. Lesley’s extraordinary leadership makes her a deserving recipient of the President’s Award. The Run was founded in 2018, following the stillbirth of Lesley’s daughter, Clementine. After finding comfort in the Ottawa-Gatineau Butterfly Run, Lesley brought the idea to Brockville to ensure families in her community didn’t have to suffer in silence.
Currently, Lesley and her co-chair are planning the next Brockville Butterfly Run, scheduled for October 4, 2025. Under her leadership, the Run has grown into a movement, reshaping community support systems and creating a safe space for healing. Her message, “You are not alone,” resonates in every candle lit, every training delivered, and every family reached.
The President’s Award recognizes individuals with exceptional leadership, commitment, and service. Lesley exemplifies these values. Her unwavering dedication has built a lasting legacy of compassion and connection in Brockville.
We look forward to recognizing Lesley Patry, at the 66th Awards of Excellence Gala being held on Thursday, September 18 at the Brockville Country Club where we will also be announcing the recipients for: Business of The Year, Small Business of the Year, Community Excellence Award, the Tourism Award and the Ben TeKamp Award.
