Brockville – Brockville City Council at Tuesday night’s council meeting voted to approve the official plan and zoning bylaw changes for the proposed redevelopment of the property at 107-119 King Street West, where the current Home Street parking lot is.
The development proposal will see a new six-storey mixed-use building featuring 128 residential apartment units, commercial space and associated parking.
“As with all applications under the Planning Act, public input has been a key factor in shaping the proposal, with revisions made to building setbacks, parking requirements, and site design to ensure a fit within the downtown context,” said the city.
New data from the first half of 2025 shows substantial increases in building applications, permit revenues, and residential development as the City is experiencing a strong upswing in construction activity.
